Mark Einhorn

South Shore Habitat for Humanity, which has delivered quality housing in partnership with families in need for the past 35 years, has named Mark Einhorn to its Board of Directors.

In this role, he will work with the other board members and Executive Director Beth Lyons to further the organization’s work to help provide housing for people in need. Since its founding in 1986, South Shore Habitat for Humanity has completed 61 homes in 21 towns, helping more than 103 adults and 204 children build a place to call home. The organization serves 35 cities and towns south and southwest of Boston.

Einhorn is a partner at Marcus Errico Emmer Brooks PC, a law firm located in Braintree that specializes in all aspects of condominium law. Mark handles a wide range of commercial and residential transactions, advising clients on the formation of condominiums, creating new corporate entities and handling negotiations with commercial lenders for developers and other real estate development projects. He is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School, and served on the Zoning Board of Appeals in Hull. He lives with his family in Norwell.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome Mark to our Board of Directors,” stated Sharon Mutrie, President of the Board of Directors of South Shore Habitat for Humanity. “Mark brings a wealth of knowledge in real estate law and is certain to prove valuable; we look forward to his leadership.”

About South Shore Habitat for Humanity

The Mission of South Shore Habitat for Humanity is to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter by partnering with families in need of affordable housing. Families put in “sweat equity hours” alongside local volunteers on the building of their home and purchase the home with a 30-year, affordable mortgage. Homes do have a deed restriction that maintains the affordability status of each home in perpetuity. Habitat Family Partners are selected through a competitive process based on their ability to pay, willingness to partner, and their need for adequate housing. South Shore Habitat for Humanity offers a “hand-up, not a hand-out,” said Beth Lyons, Executive Director. “Habitat does not build these homes; the local communities do. We are so very grateful to all of our donors and supporters for their contributions and for making homeownership a reality for these families.”
