Event marks Ms. Simmons’ first project as Committee Co-Chair

On September 21, Courtney A. Simmons, an associate at the Boston law firm Davis Malm, volunteered at The Food Project’s West Cottage Farm in Dorchester, MA as part of a Boston Bar Association (BBA) Environmental Law Pro Bono and Public Service Committee community service event. Ms. Simmons and fellow volunteers collaborated with local youth to complete a variety of hands-on farming tasks, including planting, weeding and harvesting.

Ms. Simmons was recently appointed Co-Chair of the Environmental Law Pro Bono and Public Service Committee, a subset of the BBA’s Environmental and Energy Law Section. Ms. Simmons, along with her fellow Co-Chair Olympia Bowker, an associate at the Boston law firm McGregor & Legere, will coordinate a number of annual service events as well as practice-specific pro bono projects and brown bag programming. As a Section member, she will also help shape environmental policy through a close working relationship with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.

Ms. Simmons is a litigator at Davis Malm, assisting clients in commercial litigation and real estate disputes. She zealously advocates on behalf of clients involved in business, land use and zoning issues. Ms. Simmons has a proven track record of providing high-quality representation with the goal of efficiently resolving legal disputes.
