Boston law firm Rackemann, Sawyer & Brewster announces that attorney Heidi A. Seely has been appointed Co-Chair of the Public Policy Committee of the Boston Bar Association’s (BBA) Trusts & Estates Section. As Co-Chair, her role is to keep abreast of any bills working their way through the Massachusetts legislature relating to Trusts or Estate law, and to present those findings to the Section, as well as the greater public during their midyear and year-end reviews. Seely’s term will begin in September 2019 and will last two years.

As an Associate in the firm’s Trusts & Estates Practice, Seely represents families and individuals in estate planning, estate administration, tax planning, trust administration and other trusts and estate needs.

The Boston Bar Association is the hub of the legal profession in Boston. Its mission is to advance the highest standards of excellence for the legal profession, facilitate access to justice, and serve the Greater Boston community. The BBA’s Trusts & Estates Section covers a broad range of substantive legal topics and practice concerns of interest to trusts and estates lawyers at all experience levels. Monthly meetings focus on subjects including probate law, pre- and post-mortem estate planning considerations, drafting wills and trusts, estate and gift tax planning and more. Its Public Policy Committee is very active in legislature and regulatory changes.
