The Gate l NY announced today that it was awarded online vehicle retailer, Westport, Conn.-based CARSATION’s account after a three-month review, according to President and Chief Strategic Officer of the advertising agency, Beau Fraser. Billings for the account were not disclosed.

The Gate will be responsible for full rebrand of the company, including a new name, brand identity, and mass communications. “I was impressed with how The Gate married strategic thinking with thoughtful, creative ideas that perfectly captured us and the market opportunity,” said CEO, and Founder of CARSATION, Duane Berkey. “We are in growth mode and feel that The Gate can help us every step of the way. We’re excited to get this show on the road starting with the launch of our online car buying platform in late August.”

New work is expected from The Gate in late summer. The Gate will also be responsible for media planning and buying.

“With consumers anxious to avoid traditional used car dealers, many are turning to the internet where they already do much of their shopping. In fact, according to Accenture, 75% of consumers would consider making their entire car-buying process online, including financing, price negotiation, back-office paperwork, and home delivery. CARSATION is one of a select few companies to step in and fill this need”, according to Fraser.
