Centene's New Hampshire Subsidiary Wins Medicaid Contract

3/28/19

Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) announced today its New Hampshire subsidiary, NH Healthy Families, has been selected by the New Hampshire Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) to continue to provide high quality, integrated healthcare services to enrollees statewide in the New Hampshire Medicaid Care Management (MCM) program. The New Hampshire Governor and Executive Council voted to approve a new five-year contract, which is expected to commence later in 2019.

The New Hampshire MCM program is a capitated, risk-based program that serves to provide a comprehensive array of accessible healthcare services to approximately 180,000 members including pregnant women, children, parents/caretakers, non-elderly, non-disabled adults under the age of 65, and individuals who are aged, blind and disabled, among others. NH Healthy Families additionally supplements Medicaid services by offering value-added benefits to improve member-centered healthcare outcomes and quality of life for members, their families, and the broader community.

"NH Healthy Families has been providing healthcare services and programs in the State of New Hampshire since 2013," said Christopher Bowers, Executive Vice President, Markets, for Centene. "We look forward to continuing our partnership with the state and all stakeholders to provide better health outcomes for New Hampshire residents at a lower cost to the state."

Over the past five years, NH Healthy Families has partnered with local providers, social service agencies, public policy makers and community and civic groups to support members in their personal health and wellness goals and public health initiatives.

"NH Healthy Families is committed to serving New Hampshire MCM members across the state to ensure that they have access to the quality, comprehensive and integrated healthcare that they deserve," said Jennifer Weigand, Plan President and CEO for NH Healthy Families. "Our local team is pleased to continue our work in partnership with DHHS and our provider partners to foster better healthcare outcomes for our members and improve the health of our communities here in the Granite State."
