Office Gallery International Selected to Outfit New Expanded Space for Ver-Tex Construction

Office Gallery International, a Norwood, MA-based leading provider of office furniture and design services for the business community since 1989, recently announced that it had been selected by Ver-Tex Construction of Canton to design and furnish their brand new expanded office space earlier this year.

An industry leader for design and installation of window treatments and construction specialties products that improve the lives of their clients by enhancing commercial and residential environments since 1985, Ver-Tex had called a 4,000-square-foot office home for the last 15 years, but as the company has grown it was obvious a bigger space was needed. Ver-Tex entered in a lease with John Flatley for a new state-of-the-art office space on Dan Road in Canton that more than tripled the size of their previous location.

Because Ver-Tex places great importance on their employees, it was vital to Brianna Goodwin, president and CEO of Ver-Tex Construction, that their new space be furnished is such a way that their employees felt supported and comfortable and could be creative, as well as one that had plenty of spaces with varying levels of privacy needs. The design team at Office Gallery worked hand-in-hand with the Ver-Tex team to ensure that the space worked perfectly for their needs. The previous 10-person, thinly-walled conference room was replaced with multiple shared spaces of all sizes and for a variety of uses – including a relaxation room and “phone booth” for private phone conversations. Office Gallery also assisted in the installation of a sound-masking system that not only prevents conversations from carrying but also helps everyone feel less distracted by reducing ambient noise.

Additionally, instead of seats and desks being squeezed in wherever they could fit, Ver-Tex employees were outfitted with cubicles that included comfortable and supportive seating as well as some additional acoustic considerations, while offering a combined modern/retro look by featuring gray wood paneling with aluminum accents and frosted glass as well as colored fabric surfaces.
