Dr. Karla M. Alvarado, DMD, MSD is excited to announce the launch of Plymouth Orthodontics (www.plymouth-orthodontics.com), now open at 51 Long Pond Road in Plymouth. An official ribbon-cutting is planned for later this winter.

Services offered Plymouth Orthodontics include a complimentary consultation, personalized treatment plans, traditional braces, and Invisalign®. Additionally, Plymouth Orthodontics uses the iTero intraoral scanner, the latest in dental scanning technology that provides the best and most accurate dental impressions available, ensuring that treatment is more convenient, precise and comfortable.

Alvarado, originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and now residing in Plymouth, earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Central Florida and her DMD at the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine. She received two years of additional training in general dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, and then returned to the University of Puerto Rico to specialize in orthodontics where she received her Certificate in Orthodontics as well as a Master of Science in Dentistry after three years of specialized graduate training. Alvarado is bilingual in English and Spanish.

“Having braces as an adolescent had a huge impact on my self-esteem, and encouraged my own decision to pursue a career in orthodontics,” said Alvarado. “I’m excited to open my practice here in Plymouth and help other young people and adults achieve a healthy, comfortable, and beautiful smile!”
