The senior living community of 73 apartment homes for those age 62 or older and persons with disabilities under the age of 62 received the award for “exemplary development for the elderly” during the recent NEAHMA Annual Industry Awards reception, held in conjunction with the organization’s 29th Annual Fall Conference.
The COQ awards honor the achievement of affordable housing providers who make an unprecedented contribution to developing outstanding properties for families of modest means.
“Peter Sanborn Place is an extraordinary community and well-deserving of this prestigious award from NEAHMA,” said Marcy Brown, Resident Services Coordinator at Peter Sanborn Place, noting the property’s robust supportive housing model includes an on-staff wellness nurse and that earlier this year residents of Peter Sanborn Place participated in a research study conducted by Northeastern University to better understand the health, social and personal needs of those 65 years or older living with care requirements.
