South Shore Habitat for Humanity Announces New Project in Easton

South Shore Habitat for Humanity (http://sshabitat.org), which has delivered quality housing in partnership with families in need for over 32 years, has announced a new construction project on Electric Ave in Easton. The Town issued a Request for Proposal for the construction of one, three bedroom affordable home and South Shore Habitat was the successful bidder. This will be the fourth affordable home built in Easton by the organization.

“There is such a need for affordable housing and we are so thrilled to be working with the Town of Easton again on this project,” said Martine Taylor, Executive Director at South Shore Habitat for Humanity. The Town has made affordable housing a priority and we are thrilled to be one of their partners. We look forward to building home #4! “We encourage individuals and local businesses to get involved with the project as volunteers, financial contributors and ambassadors; helping us to spread the word. We are happy to welcome former and new volunteers to this project.”20 Mathewson Drive in Weymouth, MA but they serves 35 cities and towns south and southwest of Boston. To date, South Shore Habitat for Humanity has delivered 58 homes to local families on the South Shore. Currently, the organization has a strategic plan to build twelve homes by 2020, which is on pace to deliver another 58 homes in a little less than a decade. “The need for housing is critical. Together with municipalities, we can be a solution to the affordable housing crisis here on the South Shore,” said Martine.
