Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst to Hold Summit on Anniversary of Financial Crisis

On Friday, October 5, the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s Center for International Securities and Derivative Markets will hold its annual day-long CISDM research conference. As we approach 10th anniversary of the global economic crisis, the conference will delve into the long-term implications of the “Great Recession” and lessons learned since.

The conference will feature presentations and discussions on diverse topics including government response, changes in behavioral frame of mind, rationality, liquidity in markets, derivatives, financial institutions and other crisis-related topics. Dr. Andrei Shleifer, John L. Loeb Professor of Economics at Harvard University, will keynote.

-Dr. Ricardo Caballero, The Ford International Professor of Economics, Director, World Economic Laboratory (MIT)
