Hobbs Brook Management Receives Special Permit to Construct Four-Story 500,000+ SF Class A Office Building in Waltham, Mass.

Hobbs Brook Management LLC, a commercial property management and development firm specializing in leasing, construction and development of Class A office space, announced today that it has been granted a special permit by Waltham City Councilto build a new four-story 507,000 SF Class A office building with a new parking garage within the Hobbs Brook Office Park in Waltham, Mass. Anticipating completion in 2021, the new building will be the largest contiguous Class A office building constructed along the Route 128 “technology belt” in Massachusetts and will feature office and/or research laboratory space.

The site, located immediately off Route 128, will allow Hobbs Brook Management to create a more dynamic office environment while offering easy on and off direct access to both the North and South bound directions on Route 128. The new building at 225 Wyman Street will be designed to meet LEED Silver certification and it will offer a full amenity package, state-of-the-art systems, and convenient covered and surface parking at a ratio of 3.5/1,000 rentable square feet (RSF).

The project is slated to begin by the end of 2018. Hobbs Brook Management, LLC will manage the facility and oversee the construction. Gensler Architects of Boston, Mass has been named the architect, and Charles “Chip” Batchelder, Managing Director ofWyman Street Advisors, has been named the exclusive leasing agent.
