NPO Group of South Shore Chamber of Commerce to host August 9th “Bagels & Best Practices” at Alden House in Duxbury

Members of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce’s Non Profit Group are invited to attend the inaugural “Bagels & Best Practices” on Thursday, August 9th from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. at the Alden House Historic Site, 105 Alden Street, Duxbury.

This is a new morning session where attendees can meet and network with other nonprofit organization members and share best practices while enjoying bagels and coffee. The August 9th facilitated, informal discussion will focus on the topic “Employee Recruitment, Retention and Morale.”

The session will be held at the Alden House Historic Site in Duxbury, a National Historic Landmark with a mission to preserve, educate and exhibit the history and heritage of Pilgrims John Alden and Priscilla Mullins Alden. Desiree Mobed, Executive Director of the Alden House Historic Site, will serve as host of the August 9th “Bagels & Best Practices.”

The event is complimentary for South Shore Chamber Nonprofit members; however space is limited. Participating organizations are requested to limit event attendees to 1 or 2, to allow for as many organizations represented as possible.

About the Non-Profit Organization Affinity Group

The Non-Profit Organization Affinity Group at the South Shore Chamber of Commerce brings non-profit members together to: collaborate, advocate for shared interests, promote the visibility of non-profits as critical contributors to the South Shore Community and further the mission of the Chamber.

The group serves the dual purpose of providing support and assistance to the chamber’s Non-Profit Organization members and to assure there is non-profit participation and representation on Chamber committees and initiatives.
