Commonfund Appoints Cathleen Rittereiser as Executive Director and George Suttles as Managing Director

Commonfund, a prominent investment manager for endowments, foundations and public pension investors, today announced two new hires to the Commonfund Institute. Cathleen Rittereiser is joining as Executive Director and George Suttles as Managing Director.

Ms. Rittereiser and Mr. Suttles will be responsible for leading the education and research activities of the Institute, which include conducting studies, publishing research and convening events to support long-term investors. Commonfund Institute is a highly respected, credible and unbiased source of data and insights that helps to advance the practices of institutional investors, while also supporting Communfund's mission of providing ongoing research and education.

Prior to joining Commonfund Institute, Ms. Rittereiser was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Uncorrelated, LLC, a conference and thought leadership publishing platform for endowment, foundation and pension investors, and a frequent speaker and writer on the endowment model and Outsourced CIO (OCIO). She also previously served as the Executive Director of Institutional Investor's conference division, spearheading the annual endowment and foundation roundtable. Ms. Rittereiser is the co-author of the books Foundation and Endowment Investing and Top Hedge Fund Investors: Stories, Strategies, and Advice.

Mr. Suttles will be joining Commonfund in August. He currently serves as a Program Officer with The John A. Hartford Foundation, a private, nonpartisan, national philanthropy dedicated to improving the care of older adults. He has also held roles in the philanthropic divisions of U.S. Trust, Anthem Foundation and the New York State Health Foundation. Mr. Suttles currently serves on the nonprofit boards of Odyssey House, The Support Center and the Storefront Academy.
