Prominent East Coast Law Firm Takes Nearly 20,000 SF at the 219,000 SF Office Tower
Savills Studley, the leading commercial real estate firm specializing in tenant representation, has completed a 19,450 square-foot lease to relocate law firm Day Pitney LLP’s Stamford offices to 1 Stamford Plaza.
After more than 30 years at Canterbury Green in downtown Stamford, Day Pitney will move from its current offices at 201 Broad Street to join the 16-story, 219,000 square-foot class A office tower in the first quarter of 2019.
The lease, which encompasses the entire 7th floor, features an efficient floorplate with a mix of private offices and meeting spaces. The new offices will house approximately 70 employees, including 32 attorneys.
Savills Studley’s L. Craig Lemle, Michael Goldman and Jason Perla arranged the long-term transaction for the law firm, while Margaret Carlson represented the landlord, RFR, in-house.
Established in 1902, Day Pitney is celebrating its 100th anniversary in Connecticut this year. The firm has five offices throughout the state and is the largest law firm in Connecticut. Day Pitney also has a strong presence along the East Coast, with additional offices in Boston, Florida, New Jersey, New York and Washington, D.C.
With the new lease, Day Pitney will also benefit from in-building amenities such as an on-site fitness center, cafeteria, a 1,200-space attached parking garage, 24/7 security, keycard access and state-of-the-art tenant-controlled HVAC.
