NEWTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RMR Real Estate Income Fund (NYSE American: RIF) today announced that Mark L. Kleifges has been elected as a Managing Trustee of RIF effective March 9, 2018 to fill a vacancy on the Board.

Mr. Kleifges (age 57) is the President and Chief Executive Officer of RMR Advisors LLC, an SEC registered investment adviser that is the adviser to RIF, as well as Chief Financial Officer of RIF. In addition, Mr. Kleifges is Executive Vice President of The RMR Group LLC and has served as the chief financial officer of other publicly traded real estate companies managed by The RMR Group LLC. Prior to joining The RMR Group in 2002, Mr. Kleifges was a Partner at the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen LLP where he focused on clients in the real estate and hospitality industries. Mr. Kleifges is a certified public accountant.
