JACA Architects, one of New England’s premier healthcare-exclusive architectural firms, announces the recent opening of one of its major design projects – the Surgery Center at Shrewsbury.
JACA Architects was selected by UMass Memorial Health Care of Worcester, Massachusetts, and Shields Health Care Group of Quincy, Massachusetts, in October of 2016 to design the approximately 40,000-square-foot new ambulatory surgery center located at 151 Main Street in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.
The stand-alone ambulatory surgery center is owned and operated by UMass Memorial Health Care, Reliant Medical Group and Shields Health Care Group, under the name Healthcare Enterprises LLC.
The distinct outpatient surgery center focuses on sports medicine, hand surgery, and other surgical specialties. The $31 million, state-of-the-art facility features the latest advances in technology, nine operating rooms, a waiting area, 32 curtained bays for patient preparation and recovery, multiple nursing stations and separate check-in and check-out areas.
