Partners Insurance Group, LLC, one of the region’s leading independent insurance agencies with eight locations in Southeastern MA and RI, is offering a free “Shred Day” for the benefit of area residents. The event takes place Saturday, May 12, from 9 a.m. to noon, at 560 Wilbur Avenue (Route 103), Swansea, MA. The Shred Truck will be on site!
Area residents are invited to bring up to two boxes of documents/materials to be shredded, at no cost. The boxes should be no larger than a “banker’s box,” measuring 12” x 10” x 15.” This service is offered courtesy of Partners Insurance Group.
This is an excellent opportunity for the public to bring private, sensitive and/or confidential information to the site to see that it is properly destroyed. This shredding process will avoid the potential devastating results that can occur when confidential information falls into the wrong hands.

In addition, GiftsToGive (www.giftstogive.org) will be accepting donations at the Swansea location of Partners Insurance Group from May 7th through the 11th. Based in Acushnet, Massachusetts, the non-profit organization’s mission is to provide all South Coast young people an opportunity to practice citizenship and philanthropy through their gifts of time and treasure. Thousands of young workers annually inspect, clean, organize and repurpose tons of donated children’s clothing, toys, books and supplies and then gift the items to local children in need.
Both “gently used” and new donation items will be gratefully accepted May 7-11, including children’s clothing, shoes, bedding, towels, strollers, back packs, school supplies, arts and craft supplies, unused toiletries and birthday gifts for the GiftsToGive Birthday Program.
“GiftsToGive deserves great praise for the outstanding work it does, both providing for children in need and teaching all young people about the gift of service,” said Wilson. “We’re happy to serve as a donation center on May 7-11 for this remarkable organization.”
