Financial Accounting Foundation Names Elizabeth Ann Garti as VP, Human Resources

NORWALK, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) today announced that Elizabeth Ann Garti has joined the organization as vice president, human resources.

In her role, Ms. Garti will have a central part in the FAF’s efforts to attract and retain top talent to the organization, including the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), and FAF staff. She also will provide support to the FAF Board of Trustees as it identifies and appoints members to the FAF Board of Trustees and the standard-setting Boards.

As leader of the organization’s in-house human resources team, Ms. Garti will work to deepen the organization’s efforts in recruitment, diversity, professional development, and work-life balance, among other areas. The FAF is regularly cited as one of Connecticut’s best places to work.

Ms. Garti has more than 25 years of global human resources experience across the nonprofit and private sectors. She most recently served as associate vice president of human resources at Pace University. While at Pace University, Ms. Garti oversaw strategy and execution of a wide range of human resources services—including learning and development, employee and labor relations, and staffing and recruitment.

Previously, Ms. Garti served as a senior human resources manager at Lillian Vernon Corporation, one of the country’s most widely recognized catalog and internet retailers. Earlier, she served as a human resources manager at Caldor, Inc. Ms. Garti began her career in human resources at United Parcel Service.

Ms. Garti received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Manhattanville College and a master’s degree in strategic human resources management from Pace University.
