BayCoast Bank is pleased to announce that Cheryl Roberts-Nogueira of Assonet, Massachusetts, has been promoted to Vice President and Audit Manager.

In this role, Roberts-Nogueira is responsible for oversight of the Internal Audit function performed by various vendors, pre-funding quality control for BayCoast Mortgage, performance of branch audits, and annual bank procedural updates, among other duties.

Roberts-Nogueira joined BayCoast Bank in 1986 (then known as Citizens Union Savings Bank) as a teller. Over the course of the past 32 years she has been promoted numerous times. Prior to her recent promotion, she held the title of Assistant Vice President and Audit Manager.

A graduate of UMASS Dartmouth with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Roberts-Nogueria is a Certified Internal Auditor, and a graduate of both Leadership Southcoast and the New England School of Financial Studies. She is also currently enrolled in the MBA program at UMASS Dartmouth.

She is an active volunteer with the United Way as a member of the Allocations Committee Panel; SMILES, as an elementary school mentor; and Credit for Life Fairs in Fall River, New Bedford, Westport and Dartmouth, where she provides financial guidance and associated information.
