Veteran CFO in Mergers and Acquisitions, Financing Growth Plans for High Tech Companies Brings 30 Years of Experience to Ipswitch
Ipswitch®, the leader in easy to deploy, manage and use file transfer and network management software, announced the appointment of Kevin Bisson as the new Executive Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Bisson was Chief Financial Officer of Dyn where he completed a $50 million equity financing transaction and was instrumental in the sale of Dyn to Oracle earlier this year.
“Kevin will be instrumental in Ipswitch’s future, focusing on innovation and expansion,” said Joe Krivickas, CEO of Ipswitch. “Over the past 30 years, he has provided financial leadership to both public and privately owned software technology companies, helping to scale businesses both organically and by planning and executing mergers and acquisitions of varying types and sizes. Kevin also has extensive experience in completing large scale equity and debt transactions in order to assist companies in financing their growth plans, which we expect to be invaluable.”
Prior to Dyn, Bisson held CFO roles at three publicly traded technology companies – Mercury Systems, SeaChange International and AMSC. Earlier in his career, he spearheaded the initial public offering of Axcelis Technologies. Bisson began his career at United Technologies where he held several senior financial positions. He has a master’s degree in finance from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Boston College. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
“I am thrilled to join Ipswitch as it looks to capture significant growth opportunities within an attractive and evolving IT infrastructure space,” said Bisson.
