Blue Hills Bank announced today the appointment of Andrew Vebber as Vice President and Boston Seaport branch manager. With more than 15 years of management experience with the majority in Boston’s retail banking environment, Vebber will lead Blue Hills Bank’s expansion into the Seaport district this fall.
Blue Hills is celebrating a period of unprecedented growth, with total assets surpassing $2 billion, more than double from five years ago. This transformative growth is reflected in the Seaport branch expansion which will allow Blue Hills to continue to better service its growing number of consumer, small business and commercial customers.
“It was imperative that we have a strong leader with a proven track record for our new Seaport branch as this is our opportunity to build long lasting partnerships with progressive companies and residents in the area,” said Blue Hills Bank President and CEO William M. Parent. “Andrew is the person to spearhead this new venture, and we are thrilled to have him on board.”
The new full service, state-of-the-art Seaport branch will provide all the exceptional products and services that Blue Hills’ customers expect as well as advanced user-friendly technology and community space for receptions and seminars. The branch is designed to meet the many needs of the neighborhood’s residents and business owners making the Seaport district their home.
Before his new position at Blue Hills Bank, Vebber managed a tier one flagship office for Santander Bank. He was also selected as the manager to launch a denovo branch location at the Boston Medical Center. Additionally, he was responsible for multi-branch oversight in Boston at Santander Bank, coaching managers on the implementation and the execution of bank processes and strategies to drive great sales results, employee development and outstanding customer experience. Prior to Santander Bank, he was a Financial Center Manager and vice president at Citibank.
Vebber has been acknowledged for his leadership and performance, and is a graduate of the UMass-Boston Center for Collaborative Leadership Cohort for 2015. He sits on the board of directors for City Mission, a Boston based anti-homelessness organization and has been recognized by the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families for work in youth financial education.
