TrueMotion, a company that leverages the power of data and mobile technology to reduce distracted driving, has been named a Best Place to Work by the Boston Business Journal in its annual awards. Employees from hundreds of Boston-area companies participated in an independent, third-party survey, ranking their companies on work environment, work-life balance, job satisfaction, advancement opportunities, management, compensation and benefits. TrueMotion was ranked sixth for a company of its size.
Boston Business Journal President and Publisher Carolyn Jones said, "The awards recognize companies that clearly value their employees and go the extra mile to create great workplaces."
The Best Place to Work designation comes on the heels of two other honors for TrueMotion. In April of this year, TrueMotion received the DIAmond Award for the insurance technology company with the most strategic impact at the DIA Barcelona Conference, an honor that was only given to six presenting companies out of more than 40. TrueMotion was also a finalist for TU-Automotive's "Newcomer of the Year," an award that identifies leaders pushing the connected car industry forward through innovation, industry engagement and quality products and services.
"We're honored to have been recognized by the Boston Business Journal for our workplace culture," said Vance Loiselle, CEO of TrueMotion. "We have grown exponentially in the past year and have reached many exciting milestones -- accomplishments that are a direct result of our fantastic team here at TrueMotion. The award is a great validation of the work that we have been doing and the strength of our mission."
These awards follow a year of explosive growth for TrueMotion, which saw the company more than double in size, move into new headquarters, raise a $10 million series A and unveil a new name and brand identity. The company is also currently preparing to launch a consumer version of its core mobile app.
TrueMotion provides a usage-based insurance (UBI) solution for insurance providers. The service captures and helps improve driver behavior through a big data platform that provides clean, comprehensive driving activity and a management and analytics dashboard that allows insurance companies to manage and improve customer relationships.
