Bain Capital-owned Blue Coat Files for IPO

Blue Coat, Inc. announced that it has publicly filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission relating to a proposed initial public offering of its common stock. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined.

Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, Credit Suisse and Goldman, Sachs & Co. are acting as lead joint book-running managers and as representatives of the underwriters for the offering. In addition, Jefferies, UBS Investment Bank, RBC Capital Markets and Wells Fargo Securities are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering. Cowen and Company, Pacific Crest Securities, a division of KeyBanc Capital Markets, Piper Jaffray and William Blair are acting as co-managers for the offering.
