Sarah E. Clark

The Institute of Real Estate Management® (IREM®) Boston Metropolitan Chapter No. 4 is proud to announce that the organization recently honored Sarah E. Clark with the 2020 Accredited Residential Manager (ARM)® of the Year Award. Clark was presented with the award during a virtual ceremony held by the organization on December 2.

Clark is currently Regional Property Manager for First Realty Management, which she joined in 2013 after working for several years in property management in Florida. She has oversight responsibility for 15 residential communities, 1,880 residential units, nine direct-report site managers, and approximately 81 other employees who are indirect reports.

Initially, Clark was hired by First Realty Management as the site manager for the Fairways, a 200-unit market rate property in Worcester. Clark quickly made a positive impact at the property, filling key staff positions, increasing occupancy rates, reducing turnover, and improving overall resident satisfaction scores. Due to her broad range of skills and experience, Clark’s role was expanded to support leasing operations elsewhere in the company and to work with less experienced site managers to help improve their performance, and was promoted to oversee multiple sites.

Clark earned her Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) certification and is a Certified Property Manager candidate. She has also earned accreditation as a National Affordable Housing Professional-executive status through the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA).

Earning the ARM credential is a valuable asset in the property management field that demonstrates excellence and a commitment to continuing education toward becoming more successful in the field. Candidates for the credential must meet specific industry and educational requirements and pass a certification exam.

“We’re so proud of Sarah and her commitment to the industry and to our organization,” said Melissa Fish-Crane, 2021 president of IREM Boston Metropolitan Chapter No. 4 and principal and COO of the Peabody Companies. “She is exactly the kind of individual that truly exemplifies the best in property management, and we congratulate her.”
