Ski-In/Out Merrill Hill Development and Dream Maker Lodge Condominiums Prove to be Desirable; Tours Available During 2020-2021 Ski Season

Sunday River Resort announced today the remaining available real estate ownership opportunities, including two previously unavailable home sites, for its new Merrill Hill development and the Dream Maker Lodge condominiums. With construction beginning in 2021 and as part of Sunday River 2030, a decade-long plan for sustainable growth and investments launched in February 2020, the new real estate initiatives include 23 mountain-top chairlift-serviced home sites on Merrill Hill and 22 luxurious and convenient slope-side units at the Dream Maker Lodge. Non-binding reservations for these desirable, ski-in/ski-out properties began in September 2020 and lot selection will take place in January 2021.

Of the 23 lots available perched atop a mountain between Sunday River’s South Ridge and Aurora Peak, there have been 13 Merrill Hill buyers lined up and who have paid the $20,000 refundable deposit to pick their specific lot in January 2021. Merrill Hill now has a remaining nine lots available, including the newly-added lots 4 and 5, which are highly desirable and adjacent to the chairlift. These two lots had been previously unavailable, but now are able to be reserved during lot selection in January. This development provides a truly unique opportunity that can’t be found anywhere else in the Northeast. For Dream Maker Lodge, the penthouses have proved to stun potential buyers with all four condominiums reserved. 10 of the two-bedroom condos have also been reserved, leaving eight more ski-in/ski-out two-bedroom units still available at Dream Maker Lodge. Sunday River Resort opened on Monday, November 23, 2020 for the 2020-2021 season with resort operations completely adapted to ensure visitors’ and team members’ safety during COVID-19. These changes include limited base lodge capacity, required social distancing and face coverings for all guests and team members in all public and outdoor areas, reduced capacity on resort shuttles to allow spacing between parties, and more. While visiting Sunday River this season, tours of Merrill Hill will be available. In fact, the chairlift construction for the ski-in/out lots has begun, so now that the new corridors have been cut, guests can experience a tour in an all-terrain vehicle to see the view from each of the available sites.
