Whitney Pulsifer Wins Cape & Plymouth Business’s 40 Under 40 Award

The Peabody Companies, a group of award-winning property management and real estate firms, is pleased to announce that Whitney Pulsifer, Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives, is one of the honorees for the 2020 40 under 40 Award, hosted by Cape & Plymouth Business.

The Cape & Plymouth Business 40 under 40 Awards spotlight the region’s top young business leaders who excel in their industry and show dynamic leadership. This program honors distinguished businesspeople under the age of 40 who have made a mark in our region at an extraordinarily young age. These top young business leaders excel in their industry and show dynamic leadership characteristics.

Cape & Plymouth Business held a virtual celebration honoring all of the nominees on July 9.

Pulsifer, who has over a decade of experience in the multifamily property management and development industry, joined the Peabody Companies in 2015. She leads the corporate marketing and creative functions in addition to helping establish best practices and seeing that these strategies are adopted. She approaches her position from a long-term perspective, and empowers the company’s senior leadership team to think strategically and be responsible for the company’s long-term success. Additionally, under her leadership, she is helping to propel the Peabody Companies as a thoughtful and determined contributor to some of the most pressing issues of the day, including homelessness and affordable housing.

Since joining the Peabody Companies, the company has realized significant, measurable results. Under her tenure, The Peabody Companies has thrice been named by the Boston Globe as a Top Place to Work (2017, 2018, 2019) and by Glassdoor as a Best Place to Work (2018, 2019). Peabody Properties was also recently ranked #49 on the 2019 National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) Affordable 100 List.

Additionally, Pulsifer recognizes the value of partnering with the larger community as it pertains to charitable program development and considers both her professional and local community commitment an extremely important part of her life. At Peabody, she’s helped to re-launch the company’s Helping Hands initiative, and because of her efforts, was able to help raise more than $48,000 in 2018 towards charitable causes including for Casa Bernabe, an orphanage located in Guatemala, as well as for disaster relief support. Additionally, she has been instrumental in the creation and development of the company’s Day of Service program, which allows team members to exchange a day of work for a day in support of their favorite charitable organizations.
