Only area commercial real estate firm named to the list
Cushman & Wakefield, a leading global real estate services firm, announced it has been named one of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts. The statewide evaluation was conducted by the Boston Globe Magazine and The Commonwealth Institute (TCI), a nonprofit organization devoted to advancing businesswomen in leadership positions.
The rankings for the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses are based on a variety of factors, including revenue, workplace and management diversity, innovation, creative thinking, and the number and growth rate of full-time employees. TCI then ranked organizations according to its own formula. This is the 19th year that TCI has created the list, and the seventh year that the Globe Magazine has partnered with the group. Cushman & Wakefield was the only commercial real estate firm named to the 2019 list at #63.
“It’s an honor to be included on this list for the first time with so many top businesswomen in the Commonwealth,” said Carolyn Sidor, New England Managing Principal, who assumed her local leadership role two years ago. “I’m proud of my team for their extraordinary efforts to serve our clients everyday with passion, care and a commitment to excellence.”
The Cushman & Wakefield team is comprised of more than 190 professionals from Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The team serves investor and occupier clients in multiple service lines including leasing, capital markets, project & development services, valuation & advisory, asset services and senior housing.
Earlier in 2019, Cushman & Wakefield was named Commercial Brokerage Firm of the Year by Boston Real Estate Times. Previously, Sidor was recognized as one of Real Estate Forum’s 50 “Women of Influence.” She is a past recipient of the BOMA Industry Leader of the Year award, and was instrumental in Cushman & Wakefield signing onto The Boston 100% Talent Compact, a partnership between The City of Boston, Boston University, and the Boston Women’s Workforce Council to take measurable steps to eliminate the gender wage gap.
