Tri State arranges 10-year lease for tech company establishing co-working space

Tri State Commercial Realty, Brooklyn’s foremost real estate broker, has arranged a 10-year, 2,000-square-foot lease for New York-based technology company Monocle Vision, Inc. at 268 Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The new location will be used as a co-working space aimed at high-tech companies and ventures.

The Tri State team, led by Moshe Akiva, represented both Monocle Vision, Inc. and the building’s owner, All Year Management, in these negotiations.

Monocle Vision, Inc. creates image capturing solutions for commercial retail use was founded by three Princeton University classmates. Andrew Jay Zhou, chief executive officer, Eric He, chief operating officer and Leon Aung, chief brand officer, began research and development of various technologies in 2017 while they were a part of Princeton University’s computer science and economics departments. Currently, Monocle is partnered with Asian apparel manufacturers to strengthen their respective consumer retail experiences through proprietary Augmented Reality (AR) toolkits. This part of the business will continue operations out of the Manhattan location.

The Williamsburg co-working space that Monocle has established in Brooklyn aims to attract high-tech innovators seeking a place in which to collaborate on a daily basis with like-minded individuals.
