Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Commonwealth Real Estate today announced the acquisition of Weichert Realtors, The Chase Team, in Scituate, MA.

This is Commonwealth Real Estate’s latest in a series of acquisitions since it joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices in November 2018. Commonwealth Real Estate now counts more than 600 sales associates, 75 employees and 23 offices in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

With the acquisition of The Chase Team, Commonwealth Real Estate expands its reach further in the region south of Boston. George Patsio, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Commonwealth Founding Partner, said that the South Shore is a substantial growth opportunity for Commonwealth and an important part of their future growth strategy.

Donna Chase, broker/owner, has operated The Chase Team name since 2001, and her real estate experience dates back to the 1980s. The Chase Team became a Weichert franchisee in 2006 and is well known throughout the South Shore. Her team also includes her husband, Jim, who handles the day-to-day organization and plant management as well as assisting as a Buyer Specialist.
