John Whitney
Bay State Property Management, a Quincy-MA based firm which offers comprehensive property management in both the residential and commercial space and which is celebrating its 15th anniversary, has promoted John Whitney of Braintree to the position of Director of Operations.
In this capacity, he will work closely with company president Kevin Trainor to further expand the company’s portfolio of properties that it manages. He previously served the company as Senior Portfolio Manager.
Whitney’s experience as Director of Sales for Dex Media, which includes account management, territory sales, forecasting and managing a team of media consultants to assist clients with Search Engine Marketing and Optimization, social media and print marketing will serve Bay State Property Management well in the company’s expansion plans. He additionally brings sales experience from positions held with Idearc Media (Verizon Super Pages) and Aramark Uniform. In each of these roles, he oversaw teams responsible for multimillion dollar sales efforts.
He holds a Masters’ Degree from Lesley University and a Bachelor’s from Eastern Nazarene College. The Quincy native and current Braintree resident is active in the Quincy Rotary, and the Quincy Chamber of Commerce. His outside activities include eleven years as a coach of special students at the Braintree American Little League – Challenger Team. He has also served as a mentor at the Norfolk Correctional Facility.
