CBRE announced that MAS Event + Design, an experiential design agency with offices in Los Angeles and New York City, signed a 10,000-square-foot sublease at RFR’s 77 Sands Street in Dumbo Heights. The creative agency will occupy part of the 12th floor at the building beginning in June 2019.

The CBRE team of Ben Fastenberg and Alex D’Amario represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. The sublandlord, B-Reel, was represented by Mike Mathias and Sean Hoffman of Savills.

“MAS has had a presence in Brooklyn for several years and, due to some explosive growth in the past couple years, found itself outgrowing its office space in Williamsburg,” said CBRE’s Fastenberg. “The agency’s new Brooklyn outpost at 77 Sands Street affords the team the space they need now, and also accommodates additional growth in the future. The location is in a popular part of Brooklyn, especially among like-minded creative companies.”

77 Sands Street is a 190,000-square-foot loft-style office building owned by Kushner Companies and RFR Realty. The property is located in Dumbo Heights and is part of a five-building complex, formerly known as the Watchtower complex. 77 Sands Street is close to the A, C and F subway lines and provides easy access to the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges.
