D.F. Pray, a North American general contractor and construction management firm, is pleased to announce that Michael Kowalski has joined the firm as a project manager. In this role, Michael will coordinate all services related to his projects and will serve as the day-to-day contact and interface between the owner, architect, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and D.F. Pray staff. As needed, he will coordinate work with local agencies and utilities.

“Michael has over 20 years of experience as a project manager and has extensive experience with ground up and renovation projects with intensive scheduling and logistical challenges,” said Scott Pray, president of D.F. Pray. “Michael brings invaluable knowledge to each project and has already proven to be a valuable asset to the D.F. Pray team.”

Michael is currently managing the adaptive re-use of the Fall River Knitting Mill in Fall River, Mass. The historic 1877 mill, constructed out of Fall River granite, will be gutted and converted into 119 apartments for seniors. A senior center will also be built and run by the City. He is also working on the Nova Residences of Quincy, a seven-story, 153,000 SF apartment building located in the 1500 block of Hancock Street. It will feature 15,000 SF of retail and restaurant space at street level and 171 units above. A large glass atrium will connect the apartment building, Hancock Street, and a parking garage behind the building that is currently inaccessible from Hancock Street.

Michael attended North Central Technical College in Wausau, Wisconsin and participated in the Wisconsin State Carpentry Apprenticeship Program as well as the AGC-STP Five-Year Construction Supervisory Program. He is an ABC-Certified Apprenticeship Program Instructor and AGC-Certified Management Instructor. In addition, Michael taught the AGC-STP Construction Supervisory Program at University of Wisconsin and North Technical College for 10 years.
