Framingham Green Apartments, managed by full-service real estate and property management firm Peabody Properties, recently welcomed City of Framingham Mayor Yvonne M. Spicer for “Lunch with Our New Mayor,” which took place with Framingham Green Apartments community residents and staff on May 23rd.
During the lunch event, Mayor Spicer discussed her professional background and the impact it has on the City of Framingham, including current downtown revitalization efforts and new apartment complexes being built near public transportation. She also presented volunteer opportunities for elders as “greeters at City Hall,” and explained that she has an open-door policy to discuss any positive or negative concerns about Framingham. Mayor Spicer also announced that Framingham will hold its first Flag Day Parade in 12 years.
“All of us at Framingham Green Apartments were thrilled to welcome Mayor Spicer,” said Phil Verzani, Multi-Site Property Manager, and Nancy Cooper, Resident Services Coordinator for Framingham Green Apartments. “Especially given that her role represents a new form of government for Framingham, her discussion was incredibly thoughtful and educational, and all of our residents really enjoyed what she had to say, as well as some of the opportunities she presented to them.”
