WATERBURY, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MacDermid Performance Solutions, a division of Platform Specialty Products Corporation (NYSE:PAH), today announced the completion of a major expansion of its facility in Japan.

MacDermid Performance Solutions’ state-of-the-art R&D facility is located in Hiratsuka City and now equipped with enhanced capabilities to accommodate the changing requirements of Japanese customers of both plating chemistry and assembly materials. This expansion dramatically increases the scope and speed of its ability to deliver technical services to its clients.

The 30,000 square feet facility, which first opened as a greenfield site in 1998, is now the permanent home for Alpha Assembly Solutions, MacDermid Enthone Electronics Solutions, and MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions. This collection of businesses was formally created in December 2015 when the new MacDermid Performance Solutions brand was launched.
