Leigh-Ann Larson

Elevate Counseling Services, a growing practice serving the needs of clients from locations in South Easton, Middleboro and Bellingham, announces that Leigh-Ann Larson of Bridgewater, MA will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer.

She has served as Founder/Director since the practice’s launch in 2015. With the growth over the past year, the addition of new therapists, the creation of a new Telehealth Division and the implementation of the Professional Development Center, the practice has grown to the point where it required a CEO to oversee the growth and overall planning for the future. She will work with the practice’s Associate Directors in charting the growth and direction of the practice.

The Bridgewater, MA resident and native of Easton, MA spent the five years prior to the launch of Elevate Counseling Services as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in private practice, and prior to that, spent five years working in Community Mental Health.

She earned her Master’s in Education in Mental Health Counseling from Bridgewater State University, as well as her Bachelor’s Degree.

According to Larson, the outbreak of COVID-19 dramatically altered the business plan for Elevate Counseling Services. “We made the transition from a brick-and-mortar practice to Telehealth, and have converted nearly 1,000 clients to online counseling, while we all navigate through COVID-19.” She said that the Telehealth has been well-received by the Elevate patients.

In addition to launching the Telehealth Division, Elevate has set up a Professional Development Center coordinated through Associate Director, Kimberly Hollister, to help prepare therapists for their LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) Licensing or the LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) Licensing. The Professional Development Center will also house CEU training and there are plans to spearhead conferences and networking events for professionals looking to advance their awareness of alternative therapies. Larson has also overseen the relocation of their Middleboro office to larger and more accessible space.

“With the expansion we have undertaken in the last year, the practice has grown to the point where it needs a fulltime Chief Executive Officer to guide our growth, which has necessitated my changing my focus and role,” she said.

She said that future plans for Elevate Counseling is to leverage technology to expand Elevate’s best practices. This will include developing of a proprietary app for patient self-assessment, and a revamp and upgrade of their website. “I see my primary role as leveraging the talent that we have to build an organization that is second to none in terms of excellence in culture and excellence in client care,” she said. The practice has recently begun using The Predictive Index for its hiring. The Predictive Index helps businesses and organizations understand how their people think and work to help employees maximize their productivity.

Larson and her husband are members of the Christ Congregational Church in Brockton. She is an active participant in the church’s choral group, and will continue to work with the church to help expand its musical offerings. She envisions a growing partnership between the Christ Congregational Church and Elevate Counseling, saying “Music can have a strong and positive effect on good mental health, and we look forward to building on this relationship.”

She resides in Bridgewater with her husband, Leo. They are parents to three adult children.
