Elevate Counseling Services (https://www.elevate-counseling.com), a growing practice serving the needs of clients from locations in South Easton, Middleboro and Bellingham, has named Kimberly Hollister of Plainville, MA to the position of Associate Director of the practice’s Training Center.
She assumes this new role in addition to her ongoing work as Associate Director of Clinical Services at Elevate Counseling’s Bellingham, MA office.
The Training Center is a program at Elevate Counseling through which the practice hires master level clinicians working toward their independent licenses, but who by licensing requirements need group supervision and clinical work to advance to that next level. Supervised clinical work following the earning of a Masters’ Degree is needed to qualify for an independent license. Under the program at Elevate Counseling, master clinicians have the opportunity to study and be mentored in a private practice setting. Upon completion of the two years’ supervision, clinicians are eligible to apply for an independent license and can work in a private practice setting.
The Training Center encompasses all three of Elevate Counseling’s brick-and-mortar locations, as well as their extensive online practice.
She additionally oversees clinical services at the Elevate Counseling Service Bellingham, MA location, maintains a caseload of approximately 25 clients.
Kim Hollister joined Elevate Counseling Services in 2017. Prior to her work here, she was a part of the mental health team at MCI Framingham, where she provided crisis management and short- and long-term treatment for inmates. Her other work experience included outpatient substance abuse counseling at Spectrum Health Systems, located in Milford, MA. She also has experience in community emergency services, through Riverside Community Center in Norwood, MA.
Hollister earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, MA. She went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Simmons University.
The Milford, MA native enjoys outdoor activities in her spare time, including hiking and walking. She is an avid reader, an interest she credits to her mother, who was a teacher. She also enjoys spending time with her rescue dog, Missy.
