Ann Hetherwick Cahill
Burns & Levinson announced today that partner Ann Hetherwick "Hether" Cahill has been named a 2020 “Top Woman of Law” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (MLW) for her accomplishments in the legal field. Every year,MLWsingles out an elite group of “exceptional” women lawyers for this prestigious award.
Cahill is a partner in the firm’s Private Client Group, where she represents individuals and professional fiduciaries in all aspects of trusts and estate litigation, guardianships/
Outside of work, Cahill is the Vice Chair of the Brookline Community Foundation’s Professional Advisors Committee and serves on the Boston Committee of The Mount, Edith Wharton’s home in Lenox, Massachusetts. As of September, she transitions from the Case Comment Editor to the Articles Editor of the Massachusetts Law Review, the oldest law review in the country. She is a member and former Co-Chair of the Fiduciary Litigation Committee of the Trusts and Estates Section of the Boston Bar Association.
An avid runner, Cahill ran the Boston Marathon in 2019 (for the first time) as a member of Team Brookline, collectively raising approximately $300,000 (the largest amount raised in the team’s history) to support various local organizations. She lives in Brookline with her young family. She received her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 2006 and her B.A. from Skidmore College in 2000.
