Pallavi Banerjee, Ph.D.
Womble Bond Dickinson continues to build its Boston-based life sciences IP team with the addition of science advisor Pallavi Banerjee, Ph.D.
Banerjee uses her background in cancer biology, cell biology and immunology to help life sciences clients develop strategic patent portfolios. She has experience in assisting a wide range of biotechnology companies and universities with IP due diligence and drafting and prosecution of patent applications with the USPTO and foreign jurisdictions.
She spent seven years as a research fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where she studied the cellular and molecular mechanisms of diseases and how to identify therapeutic targets using in vitro and in vivo mechanisms. Her research included extensive work in improving cancer treatments. Her work has been published in a number of scientific journals, including the Journal of Biological Chemistry, Cancer Research, Cancer Letters, and International Immunology.
