Boston law firm Sherin and Lodgen LLP announces that its Real Estate Department represented Big Night Entertainment Group (BNEG) in the development and opening of luxury nightclub, Mémoire, and Mystique Asian Restaurant & Lounge at the Encore Boston Harbor, a $2.6 billion five-star waterfront resort. Led by Robert M. Carney, the Sherin and Lodgen team handled extensive lease negotiations, construction related matters, debt and equity matters including private placement memoranda, and related matters.
Mémoire is an 8,000 square foot club with a 650-guest capacity and is set to be the epitome of the VIP lifestyle with gold, plush and leather accents, hand blown glass chandeliers, and custom marble tables. Mystique, a flagship dining destination, is located on the main esplanade and features a 16,400 square foot dining room and lounge with panoramic windows that look out onto the Mystic River. Both venues opened on June 23, 2019.
Carney is chair of Sherin’s Real Estate Department and a partner in the firm’s Business Law Department. He is experienced in all aspects of real estate and general corporate law with a concentration in real estate and business acquisitions and sales, real estate development, real estate and commercial finance and restructuring, commercial leasing, landlord/tenant issues and business counseling.
