Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Attorney Peter McLaughlin Joins Womble Bond Dickinson’s Boston Office

Womble Bond Dickinson continues to build its Boston office, adding experienced data privacy and cybersecurity attorney Peter McLaughlin as a Partner.

McLaughlin guides clients in the compliant application of innovative products and business models to the use and sharing of personal information in the global marketplace. He also helps companies develop cybersecurity programs and respond to data breaches and other cyberattacks. McLaughlin advises clients in regulatory responses to the Federal Trade Commission, US Department of Health and Human Services, state attorneys general and other government agencies.

His tech-focused client base includes companies in the digital health/ life sciences, wearables, electronic marketing, Internet of Things, cloud services, autonomous vehicles, facial recognition and analytics sectors.

McLaughlin serves as Co-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Healthcare Technology Committee as well as the Co-Editor-in-Chief of ABA publication The Scitech Lawyer. He also is a frequent speaker on cybersecurity and data privacy topics.
