The Law Offices of Clerc & Associates, P.C. today announced the expansion of its services providing business legal advice for non-profit organizations, with the establishment of a Non-Profit Practice Area.

In establishing the practice area, Clerc & Associates team member Katie Paquette has been selected to lead and grow the nonprofit area of the practice. The nonprofit practice area will assist clients with formation and tax-exempt status as well as advise existing nonprofits on management of the ongoing operation and inform them if they are in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Paquette, an Attleboro, MA resident, initially served the firm as a paralegal prior to completing the requirements to become a practicing attorney. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and her Juris Doctor at the University of Massachusetts School of Law, in Dartmouth, MA. Prior to joining Clerc & Associates, she interned at the Fall River Law Office of Val C. Riberio. She also completed a legal internship at the Law Office of Kenneth J. Amoriggi in Providence, RI.

A lifelong resident of Taunton, MA, she also interned for the City of Taunton in their Law Department.

Paquette’s spare time activities includes spending time with her boyfriend Brian, their 7 year old daughter Hunter, and their dogs, Buddy and Lily. She also counts art, and oil painting in particular, as one of her favorite pastimes. In the warmer weather, she enjoys kayaking, and spends time boating on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.
