Syska Hennessy Group, the international engineering firm, has hired two industry veterans as associate partners in its Boston and Los Angeles offices.
Robert Cunningham, CIPD, CPE, an engineering executive with more than 25 years of experience in the life sciences and pharmaceutical sectors, will serve as associate managing director of the firm's Boston office. In this capacity, he will oversee the office and the team, cultivate new business, and manage client relationships.
"We've been ramping up our life sciences business over the past few years," says Cyrus Izzo, co-president of Syska. "Robert is a key hire who will spearhead our continued growth in this increasingly important area, which is a major economic driver in Boston."
Christopher Ieradi, an electrical engineering and commissioning expert with more than 30 years of experience, will serve as associate practice area director in the firm's Los Angeles office. In his new role, he will focus on commissioning and facilities management.
"We've collaborated with Chris on many projects in recent decades, so we are familiar with his hands-on abilities and get-it-done attitude," says Gary Brennen, Syska's co-president. "It's clear to us that he deserves his outstanding reputation. Previously, Mr. Cunningham served as the national science and technology practice leader for AKF Group. In this capacity, he grew strategic relationships and developed new business opportunities across AKF's 10 offices.
His experience to date encompasses projects for some of the biggest names in healthcare and pharma, including Harvard University Medical School, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Biogen, Inc., Bristol Myers Squibb Company, Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, UMASS Medical Center, Cornell University, and Medimmune, to name a few.
A resident of Melrose, Massachusetts, Mr. Cunningham studied at Northeastern University, Franklin Institute of Technology, Oklahoma State University, and North Shore Community College. He is a member of the National Fire Protection Association.
Christopher Ieradi
Mr. Ieradi has held senior-level positions at GCON Inc., Jacobs Engineering, and Engineering Economics, Inc., all focusing on mission-critical systems.
Past Syska projects involving Mr. Ieradi include work for such clients as Toyota, Navy Marine Corp Intranet, Safeco Insurance, Cal Trans and The Auto Club of Southern California.
He received a degree in electrical engineering from Penn State University, and subsequently honed his skills as a squadron and program leader in the United States Air Force, where he specialized in aircraft avionics and electrical systems engineering.
