Massachusetts Nurses Association Endorses David LeBoeuf for 17th Worcester District

The Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA), the state's largest union and professional association for registered nurses and health care professionals, announces its endorsement of David LeBoeuf for State Representative in the 17thWorcester District.

"David is committed to the issues that matter most to nurses and their patients," said MNA President and registered nurse Donna Kelly-Williams. "We need elected officials who will stand up for safe patient care, protect health care workers and ensure that we put patients ahead of profits in Massachusetts."

"I am honored and humbled to have the endorsement of the Massachusetts Nurses Association," LeBoeuf said. "I'm ready to fight to guarantee those in health care have dignity and respect at work, that we have safe patient limits and a health care system that works for everyone. The MNA is consistent in their advocacy for our communities and I look forward to fighting with them for quality health care access and improved patient care."

A lifelong Worcester resident, LeBoeuf is a graduate of Worcester Public Schools and Harvard University. Since 2015, LeBoeuf has worked for the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC)—a national nonprofit research and advisory organization, and the leading authority on U.S. inner city economies and the businesses that thrive there.

As an Urban Business Initiatives Associate, David's primary focus has been on public-private partnerships aimed at increasing opportunities for small businesses in underserved communities. In this role, LeBoeuf has championed efforts to increase greater participation of veteran-owned and women-owned businesses in the program.

LeBoeuf enjoys strong support from local nurses, including Eileen Recore, BSN, RN, CCRN.

"As a registered nurse who lives in the 17th Worcester district I am thrilled that the Massachusetts Nurses Association has endorsed David LeBoeuf for state representative," said Recore. "David has shown steadfast support of the issues and values that nurses in the Commonwealth are fighting for, and will be a strong advocate for us all on Beacon Hill."

The 17th Worcester District includes the town of Leicester and Ward 7 and parts of Ward 8 in Worcester.
