David I. Brody Elected Treasurer of the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association

Sherin and Lodgen LLP is pleased to announce that David I. Brody, an associate in the firm’s litigation and employment law departments, has been elected treasurer of the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association, Inc. (MELA) for the 2018-2019 term. Brody was elected via popular vote at the June MELA member meeting.

Brody said, “I am honored to serve as MELA’s treasurer, and look forward to working with the executive committee to advance the organization’s mission of enforcing and advancing employees’ rights in the workplace in Massachusetts and across the country.”

Brody represents clients in a wide range of matters, including wage and hour issues, wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, and contract negotiation and enforcement. He has represented clients in both federal and state courts in Massachusetts and in Public Hearings before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) and the Civil Service Commission.

MELA is the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA), the country’s largest professional organization exclusively comprised of lawyers who represent individual employees in cases involving employment discrimination and other employment-related matters.MELA works to increase awareness, improve advocacy, monitor legislation and support the practices of its member attorneys who devote a majority of their practice to representing employees in these matters.
