Jimmy Pappas
Jimmy Pappas has joined Grant Thornton LLP as a Forensic Advisory Services partner within the firm’s Advisory Services practice. Based in Boston, Pappas strengthens Grant Thornton’s service offerings in forensic accounting, internal investigations, litigation support, and corporate governance.

Pappas has worked for more than 20 years in the forensic and audit disciplines of accounting. He has extensive experience advising legal counsel, boards of directors and company management on accounting, internal control and financial matters, in the context of internal investigations, civil and criminal litigation, and corporate governance initiatives. He conducts internal investigations on issues relating to the integrity of financial statements, corruption, and misappropriation of assets; consults and testifies on business and regulatory disputes; and advises clients on the establishment of compliance programs. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Pappas was a managing director at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
Pappas is a certified public accountant, licensed in Massachusetts. In addition, he holds the designations of Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified in Financial Forensics and Accredited in Business Valuation. Pappas is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the American Bar Association.
Pappas received a master’s degree in accountancy from Bentley University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Amherst College.
