Baker Newman Noyes (BNN) announced that Eric Wetherell, CPA has joined the growing healthcare consulting practice as a principal in the firm’s Portland, Maine office.

Wetherell joins BNN from a Big 4 accounting firm in Connecticut, where he served as a director in the healthcare consulting practice. Wetherell advises clients across the continuum of care on issues of regulatory compliance, reimbursement, revenue management and financial forecasting. Some of his most notable work includes developing plans to rebuild and re-equip hospitals and local healthcare delivery systems in New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Wetherell holds a master of science in accounting from the University of Hartford, and a bachelor of science in finance from the University of Connecticut. His area of practice is focused on the development of long-range financial and strategic plans, financial feasibility studies, due diligence evaluations for both acquisitions and divestitures, hospital performance improvement engagements, and developing methodologies to quantify the impact from legislation on healthcare entities.
