Mad*Pow Adds Three New Team Members

7/21/16

Mad*Pow, a design agency that improves the experiences people have with technology, organizations and each other, today announced that it has added three new team members to its staff. Ken Dunnington and Chad Moore have joined the Portsmouth headquarters and Thanh Nguyen has been hired in the Boston office.

“Mad*Pow seeks out staff members who are passionate about what they do and Ken, Chad and Thanh are a perfect fit for our culture,” says Amy Cueva, founder and Chief Experience Officer at Mad*Pow. “We’re thrilled that they have joined us and are bringing creativity, technical know-how and the ability to meet tough challenges for Mad*Pow clients."

Ken Dunnington comes to Mad*Pow as a Technical Architect. Always curious about “how things work,” Ken turned a childhood interest in taking things apart (cameras, appliances, toys) into a grown up obsession with studying tricky problems and solving them. He will be working with Mad*Pow clients by creating seamless, practical, and beautiful solutions across all touch points. Previous to joining Mad*Pow, Ken held positions at Piehead & Co. and Genius Switch. He has a B.A. in graphic design from Keene State College. In his free time, he enjoys kayaking, as well as practicing and teaching jujitsu.

Chad Moore joins as a Senior Project Manager. He will work with Mad*Pow clients at the intersection of art, design and technology to make the technology and design seem invisible or natural to the people it serves. Prior to Mad*Pow, Chad began his career as an animator and held positions at Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment and Sony Computer Entertainment America. He has an associate’s degree in digital media from Full Sail University. Away from the office, Chad loves spending time with his family and he enjoys a good story, whether that be in book, TV, movie or spoken-word form.

Thanh Nguyen comes to Mad*Pow as an Experience Researcher. Once on a career path to becoming a police detective, Thanh has used his interest in human psychology to build a career in User Experience research.  He recently completed a master’s degree in human factors in information design at Bentley University. Thanh served as a UX intern at Mad*Pow and came on as a full time employee after demonstrating true talent for UX research. He will work to help Mad*Pow clients by understanding people and the problems they face in technological, physical, and organizational spaces. Thanh previously worked at the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center at Dartmouth College and for the Cheshire County government in New Hampshire. In his free time, Thanh plays acoustic guitar and occasionally performs at open mic nights.
