Tyton Partners, a leading advisory firm in the global knowledge market, today announced three industry veterans have joined the firm’s leadership team. Tim Loomer is a Senior Advisor and Managing Director in Tyton Partners’ investment banking and consulting practices. Jeff Dinski joins the team as a Director, and Michelle Miller as a Senior Principal and Director, both working primarily in the firm’s consulting practice while providing support to the investment banking practice. These three additions to the Tyton Partners team collectively represent decades of experience in the preK-12 and postsecondary markets, as well as the broader media sector, providing both operating and strategy development acumen that will support Tyton Partners’ clients across the global knowledge sector.
“We’re thrilled to bring on Tim, Jeff, and Michelle,” said Chris Curran, Founder and Managing Partner at Tyton Partners. “As our portfolio of clients continues to expand, we look forward to tapping into their individual areas of expertise to provide enhanced strategic insight and council on the preK-12 and postsecondary education market.”
Tim Loomer has spent the last six years providing strategic guidance to private equity firms and their portfolio companies, including leading and supporting a diverse array of education technology investment and acquisition opportunities across the education markets. Prior to this advisory role, Tim was President and CEO of Campus Management one of the leading ERP solutions in the postsecondary market, where he developed scalable processes and procedures that helped the company grow from an annual revenue of $42 million to $90 million within five years, in addition to managing corporate acquisitions and diversifying revenues. Before joining Campus Management, Tim spent nearly 10 years at the Scantron Corporation, most recently as their President and CEO. As a Senior Advisor and Managing Director at Tyton Partners, Tim will support both the investment banking and consulting practices by providing significant operating, transactional, and consultative experience in the education sector. Tim currently serves on the Boards of Measured Progress and Columbia College of Hollywood.
Jeff Dinski comes to Tyton Partners after successfully leading the expansion of China Primary, supporting the growth of the Asian-based investment research company by developing its market strategy and product prototype. Prior to this role, Jeff spent several years at Parchment, where he most recently served as General Manager of the Consumer Services Division, overseeing all aspects of the company’s consumer strategy, including project development and management, and business development and support. Jeff started his career at Parchment as their Vice President of Business Development, identifying and executing national partnership deals. As a Director in Tyton Partners’ consulting practice, Jeff brings extensive experience in leading digital media and e-commerce initiatives and will also contribute to investment banking development and transactional opportunities. Jeff is a current member of the advisory board for LearnerNation and has served as a mentor for Endeavor Miami.
Michelle Miller joins Tyton Partners from the Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop, where she most recently served as Managing Director, leading the strategic vision, growth and management of the organization, expanding reach and impact and developing a portfolio of industry-focused work. Prior to this role, Michelle was Director of Partnerships and Strategy for the Center, where she oversaw industry engagement and led major market research projects such as the Games and Learning Publishing Council. A mission-driven leader with deep industry knowledge, Michelle joins Tyton Partners as a Senior Principal and Director, supporting research and consulting initiatives across the firm’s practices.
