Verrill Dana Partner, Dennis White, recently led efforts to offer transactional attorneys a guide in using legal project management to streamline the handling of mergers and acquisitions. The book entitled, Using Legal Project Management in Merger and Acquisition Transactions: A Guidebook for Managing Deals Efficiently and Effectively, was co-edited by White and Byron Kalogerou of McDermott Will & Emery, and was recently published by the American Bar Association (ABA). The new guidebook offers practical tools that address each phase of an M&A transaction, from pre-deal, to deal, to post-deal to billing.
“These practical tools allow a practicing attorney to better meet the needs of clients for greater transparency, enhanced communication, reduced deal friction and predictability in budgeting. The tools can be consulted, downloaded, and customized for individual transactions,” said White.
White, also co-chair of the ABA Business Section’s Task Force on Legal Project Management in M&A Transactions, has more than 25 years of transactional experience across a broad range of industries. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and other transactions, often involving non-U.S. parties and cross-border elements.
