Lando & Anastasi, LLP (L&A) is pleased to announce that David Eric Johnson, Ph.D. and Alex E. Breger have joined the firm.  

David joins the firm’s Life Sciences practice. David has 20 years of experience guiding life science companies through the development of worldwide patent portfolios including in-depth prosecution strategies. In addition, he provides freedom to operate analyses, invalidity and non-infringement opinions. “We are thrilled to welcome David to our growing practice,” notes Diana M. Collazo, a partner in the Life Sciences practice. “His expertise in life sciences, including nucleic acid and polypeptide based therapeutics, as well as diagnostics will enable us to expand our current capabilities for clients who are industry leaders in this space.” David received his J.D. from the University of Colorado, his Ph.D. from the University of Colorado and his B.A. in Biology from Princeton University. Prior to joining the firm, David was a partner at Occhiuti & Rohlicek and Mintz Levin, both in Boston, Massachusetts.

Alex returns to the firm as a first year associate in the firm’s Electronics and Mechanical & Industrial practices, after serving as a summer associate in 2015. His practice will focus on a wide range of IP services including the preparation and prosecution of patent applications to the firm’s broad and diverse client base. “Alex showed tremendous depth during his time as a summer associate and we are pleased that he will begin his legal career at L&A,” notes Tom Sullivan, a partner in the Electronics group. Alex received his J.D. from the Suffolk University School of Law, his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a B.A. in Philosophy from Bates College.
